Still on the Landmark Nationwide Address and Policy Directives by IPOB Head of Directorate of States
Mazi Edoziem began by reflecting on the IPOB's resilient journey since it was initiated by Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, highlighting the challenges the movement has faced and overcame. He emphasized that the IPOB is not responsible for the recent criminal activities in Biafraland. He reaffirmed that IPOB's quest for Biafra's sovereignty is rooted in divine laws, the United Nations charters, and the Nigerian constitution. Commitment to peaceful agitation was highlighted as a cornerstone of the movement, ensuring that the Biafran quest championed by IPOB remains untarnished by violence. The struggle aims to bring justice to the Biafran people and preserve their cultural heritage.
Mazi Chika Edoziem stressed that the IPOB is exploring every legitimate non-violent means to achieve Biafra's freedom, questioning accusations that the movement is responsible for insecurity in the South East. He issued a stern warning to the political class in the South East to dismantle their militias or face IPOB intervention. He urged the sociocultural group Ohanaeze Ndigbo to eliminate internal deep-state elements. He also warned against judicial and executive collusion in persecuting innocent citizens.
A strong message was sent to resist attempts to seize
ancestral lands for cattle ranches under any guise, with a vow to defend Biafraland. The
address emphasized the importance of focusing on the agricultural revolution and
food security in the Biafra region as championed by IPOB. Entrepreneurs were advised to secure their
assets in stable hard currencies and drive the region's economic development.
Plans are in place to reclaim and renegotiate Biafra's mineral resources.
The IPOB's internal organs and the Eastern Security Network
will be fortified to ensure a secure environment for the region. The HDOS Mazi Edoziem called
for self-reliance, urging citizens to invest in their homeland without foreign
aid. He addressed the need for criminals and cultists to abandon their
activities and stressed the importance of maintaining discipline within the
Eastern Security Network. Transparency in funding was highlighted, with the ESN
operating without financial support from the Biafran political class.
The dedication and success of ESN operatives were
acknowledged, and Mazi Edoziem issued warnings against the destruction of ancient
holy sites and local collaborators aiding foreign tree loggers. The custodians
of Biafran culture were directed to prepare for the new political system.
Edoziem concluded by warning against the misuse of public office within IPOB,
reinforcing the movement's integrity and assuring that the journey towards
Biafra self-determination is nearing victory.
