First with the driving ban on women lifted and now this;

Dubai (Reuters) – Saudi Arabia for the first time will be allowing women to attend sporting events in three approved stadiums starting early next year according to the statement released by the General Sports Authority.

The approved stadiums are; the Jeddah, Dammam and Riyadh. These stadiums are currently being prepared to accommodate families (meaning male and female) by early 2018. These steps are said to be in line with the Crown Prince’s Vision 2030 which seeks increase the participation of women in social and economic activities as well as diversify the heavily oil dependent economy.
